One of the key benefits of the Philips 2000i Series Air Purifier is its ability to quickly and effectively purify the air in a room. The device can purify a 20 m² room in under 9 minutes, making it an excellent choice for those with respiratory issues, allergies, or sensitive skin. Additionally, the device’s ultra-quiet sleep mode makes it an ideal choice for use in the bedroom.

Smart App

The air cleaner is also very easy to control, thanks to its smart home app. With the app, you can connect to the air purifier and receive alerts when air quality is poor. You can also set the device to run for an hour before coming home to ensure that the air in your home is clean and fresh. The app also displays the air quality in real-time, allowing you to adjust the device’s settings as needed.

However, some users did note that they had difficulty connecting the device to their home networks or with the app’s functionality. For some, the setup process was a bit cumbersome, and there were occasional issues with the app’s performance. But, for many others, the device worked seamlessly, delivering exceptional air quality and providing relief from respiratory issues, headaches, and other symptoms.

Review Details

I have been using the Philips 2000i air purifier for three weeks now and it has been a game-changer! The three levels of filtration (pre-filter, HEPA filter, carbon filter) leave “nothing” to pass. After two weeks of use, the machine required a cleaning of the pre-filter, which was already quite dusty. I have noticed less dust on the furniture (which is visible) and most importantly, less in my lungs! The 5 intensity levels are pleasant as are the different options. I would advise reading the manual before use and searching for missing information on the net when an unknown symbol appears on the screen, as not everything is indicated.

After unboxing and reading the user manual, which was well explained, the air purifier was set up, the WLAN was connected, and it was good to go. Even with the air washer that runs non-stop in my house (wooden house, humidity constantly only 30%), and despite having recently done house cleaning (ventilation, vacuuming, floor wiping, dusting, etc.), it immediately indicated terrible values.

I switched it to Turbo mode to see what happens, and after about 30 minutes, I had already achieved very good values. The air definitely felt much better. The automatic function works great and regulates everything itself. Since I have a photovoltaic system with a storage, I don’t worry about the electricity costs, but for those who don’t have it, I would definitely recommend considering an external timer. 6 hours a day should be enough. The approximate annual electricity cost would be around £25.

The app works very well, and I cannot confirm the connection or setup problems that have been mentioned here. Everything runs smoothly for me. It may be possible that, based on my experience, not particularly high-tech WLAN adapters are installed in all similar devices, and WLAN at home is not particularly good, which may cause some disconnection.

The device is located in my hallway, on the upper floor, opposite my son’s room. When I wake up in the morning, the air feels comfortable, and the values are at 1 and 3 (which is very good). As soon as I open his door, the device goes crazy after 10 seconds and shows values that are beyond good and evil: 12 and 220. However, the automatic function works flawlessly because when I enter his room after 20 minutes, I can breathe, and the child admits (although he claimed to have never noticed the polluted air in his room before) that the air in his room is now good with the air purifier.
